Web Site Redesign and SEO provides Campground Vacation Travel Directory with Unprecedented Traffic
Problem: This client distributes vacation travel and attractions brochures at camping and outdoor tradeshows. They also offer their customers a listing on their outdoor vacation travel web site featuring campgrounds. The client has very limited web site design and publishing experience and no longer able to maintain their own web site content. The site was designed using frames which was blocking the search engine spiders from indexing the text content of the web site. The client also needed to move their domain to a new web hosting provider. They didn't know how much traffic they were getting and the source of the traffic. The client had very limited financial resources for redesigning the site or online promotion.
Solution: Market-Vantage recommended a new low-cost ISP that provides all of the technical features they needed. We redesigned the site without frames using the client's existing text content as they had no budget for optimized text copy development. Following search engine optimization best practices, we redesigned and published the web site applying limited SEO techniques according to the client's budget. We re-submitted only the homepage to the few remaining free search engines. We also implemented Market-Vantage's site traffic reporting tool for small business to monitor site traffic results.

Since the domain has existed for over a year and had a few inbound links, the site was re-indexed within a short period of time by the search engine crawlers. Within six weeks, the traffic increased from an average of 8 visitors per day to an average of 75 visitors per day for the last month. The client can now report the amount of traffic they deliver to their customers' web sites. The increased value of the client's web site will allow them to solicit advertising sponsorships from their customers in the future.
